Lyrics for 'Hey Jude' for Judy Miller (in the spirit of Fitzmas.)
This is corny, but it was so much fun! Critique and suggestions and new verses are welcomed. The original Beatle's lyrics are at the end for comparison and posted as a stimulus for improvement on my version!

Hey Jude for Judy Miller

Hey Jude, you should feel sad.
You took a bad plan and made it worser.
Remember you wrote in the New York Times,
Of feelings sublime for the Neo-Cons' crimes.

Hey Jude, We were afraid.
Of you and your Neo-Con friends.
But Jude don't let it get under your skin,
For you will pay for our chagrin.

And anytime you feel the fame, hey Jude, its shame,
For tossing the world off of your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who writes as tool
For those who'd nuke this world into boulders.

Hey Jude, you let us down,
We have found out, now we will get you.
Remember you lied us into this War,
Now you know why we think you a whore.

You wrote it out and wrote in in, hey Jude, your sin.
The New York Times is something you performed with.
And don't you know we know the truth, Hey Jude its you
Who sold your soul to feed your whoredom.

Hey Jude, you should feel sad.
You took a bad plan and made it worser.
Remember you wrote in the New York Times,
Of feelings sublime for the Neo-Cons' crimes.
Time's Crime, Time's Crime, Time's Crime, Time's Crime, Time's Crime, Time's Crime Oh

Na na na na na na na na hey Jude

Beatle's Original lyrics for Hey Jude are as follows:

Hey jude, don’t make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

Hey jude, don’t be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey jude, refrain,
Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it’s a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.

Hey jude, don’t let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey jude, begin,
You’re waiting for someone to perform with.
And don’t you know that it’s just you, hey jude, you’ll do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.

Hey jude, don’t make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then you’ll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh.

Na na na na na ,na na na, hey jude...

9. Another Fitzmas Carol
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 11:57 AM by King Coal
Walking in their orange underwear

Cells doors clang, are you Listening,
In federal courts, they are indicting.
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight
They're walking in their orange underwear.

Gone away, the blossum old turd,
Here to stay, now a jail bird,
The canary he sings,
More indictments he brings,
They're walking in their orange underwear.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
then pretend that he is Scott McClellan,
He'll say: Are you Karl Rove,
We'll say: No man,
Blame game and litmus test
you're such a clown.

Later on, they'll perspire
Their nuts roast, by the fire
To face their own fate,
no matter how late,
They're walking in their orange underwear.

17. Every verse is hysterically funny! You really should repost it. I'm
sending it to family and friends with the composer/author as DUer King Coal. The last verse made me laugh out loud.

16. Same Wavelength
Posted on a dead thread, should have posted here instead:

'Twas the night before Fitzmas,

And all in the House,

Knew that Cheney was a lying,

and DeLay was a louse

The indictments were prepared by the Grand Jury with care,

We hoped the Bush criminals would soon be laid bare.

Then through the media there arose such a clatter,

That even Fox News said this was a matter.

Charge Scooter, charge Cheney, and that fat Karl Rove,

Fitzgerald's investigation will yield a treasure trove.

So as Karl was frog-marched,

And Scooter locked up,

I am strongley reminded to never give up.

Look past Fitzmas day,

When the Bush Regime collapses,

And the Wing Nuts can only say,

"At least he cut our taxes".

The teeth you hear gnashing,

Are on the political right,

Merry Fitzmas to all

America comes back to the light.

12. "Judy Do" (Thompson Twins) for Judith Miller...
Edited on Mon Oct-24-05 02:58 PM by calipendence
Wasn't a big hit for them, but still memorable nonetheless and fits her. Another one for this case I'll work on some more is to redo the lyrics for Gordon Lightfoot's "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" to be retitled "Talk to Sibel Edmonds, Fitzgerald!" instead. Gotta work ont he lyrics for that one. That needs to play out like a very informative ballad on this whole mess, much like the original song was.

Sitting alone in a cell
Star of the show, she's going to hell
It's sad to say they made her pay
They set her up they shot her down,

Yeah, Judy laugh, and judy cry
Yeah, Judy do, and judy lie... Yeah
Standing alone, wanting to run
She opens her mouth but no song come
Just one false move is all it takes
She's come too far for small mistakes

She fed us her lies, look at her face
She's not the prize in the paper chase
There are so few who really fly
Let's put that bright light in her eyes

Yeah Judy do
(laugh Judy cry, laugh Judy cry
Come on Judy laugh, yeah, hah)
Aw, Judy lie
Yeah Judy do
(Dance, dance, Judy, dance, dance
Judy, come on Judy talk with Fitz)
Aw, Judy lie
Yeah Judy do
(Talk with Fitz Judy, Lie to Fitz Judy
Come on Judy dance, don't lie)
Aw, Judy lie
Yeah Judy do
(laugh Judy cry, laugh Judy cry
Come on Judy laugh yeah hah)
Aw, Judy lie
Yeah Judy do
(Dance, dance, Judy, dance, dance, Judy
Come on Judy dance so high)
Aw, Judy lie
Yeah Judy do
(Talk with Fitz Judy, Lie to Fitz Judy
Come on Judy dance so high)
Aw, Judy lie
Yeah Judy do
(Talk with Fitz Judy, Lie to Fitz Judy)
Aw, Judy lie

15. This is very good. I wish I knew the song/music to fit the lyrics, but I
remember, or I never heard it. I read the lyrics to a Gordon Lightfoot song the other day on DU, and it was really good also. Was it yours? I can't remember the poster.

19. Here's Judy do clips...
Edited on Tue Oct-25-05 10:09 AM by calipendence
If you listened to a lot of 80's music back in those days, you might recognize this tune... Wasn't one of their top hits (like "Lies" was, which also fits this administration a lot), but it got some air time I think.

Judy Do original lyrics:

Standing alone on a stage
Star of the show, she's all the rage
It's sad to say they made her pay
They set her up they shot her down,

Yeah, Judy laugh, and judy cry
Yeah, Judy do, and judy die... Yeah
Standing alone, wanting to run
She opens her mouth but no song come
Just one false move is all it takes
She's come too far for small mistakes

She opened her eyes, looked at her face
She's not the prize in the paper chase
There are so few who really fly
Let's put that bright life in her eyes

Yeah Judy do
(lLugh Judy cry, laugh Judy cry
Come on Judy laugh, yeah, hah)
Aw, Judy die
Yeah Judy do
(Dance, dance, Judy, dance, dance
Judy, come on Judy dance with me)
Aw, Judy die
Yeah Judy do
(Dance with me Judy, dance with me Judy
Come on Judy dance, don't die)
Aw, Judy die
Yeah Judy do
(laugh Judy cry, laugh Judy cry
Come on Judy laugh yeah hah)
Aw, Judy die
Yeah Judy do
(Dance, dance, Judy, dance, dance, Judy
Come on Judy dance so high)
Aw, Judy die
Yeah Judy do
(Dance with me Judy, dance with me Judy
Come on Judy dance so high)
Aw, Judy die
Yeah Judy do
(Dance with me Judy
Dance with me Judy)
Aw, Judy die

Also, another "remake" I'd like of their songs would be "Don't Mess with Dr. Dream" to become "Don't Mess with Dr. Dean" as he takes on both the Rethugs and the DLC!

Don't Mess with Dr. Dream:

As for the "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", I saw a thread about the original song by Gordon Lightfoot the other day here, but none with "remade" lyrics. I just thought of the alternative song for Sibel Edmonds and Fitzgerald and posted a few notes about it, but hadn't had time to do any updated lyrics yet. If someone else's already done this, I'd be curious to see that post!

20. Thanks so much for the links! You and I probably read the same DU
Post on the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, but I thought that the lyrics were new! (Guess I read it too hastily and without much attention.) I don't even have the link for this one now.

21. The Edmund Fitzgerald was actually a real ship that sank
in the Great Lakes, which is what the song was about when Gordon Lightfoot wrote it... Kind of a coincidence of names, but when I saw that thread coming up with hardly any political content in it, the parallel connection immediately hit me then. I was going to try and write it last weekend, but I'll try to get to it sometime this week. It will be more than just tweaking a few lines differently I think. Ideally I think it really deserves a complete "story" in verse being told about all of these sagas rolled together that would be one you'd want to sing in remembrance of these times later, kind of like the original story of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking came through well from Gordon Lightfoot in that song.

Fitzgerald saga, me thinks! Please keep us posted with regard to your progress. I'm already humming in dramatically in my head!
