What are Bush supporters really thinking right now ?
Do they think this is just more politics by the Democrats, even though Democrats have nothing to do with this investigation? Do they think Bush will just pull another Houdini and escape anything that is thrown at him? Or are they anxious and concerned like most other Americans, about the war, about the economy, about terrorism and the loss of our freedoms, about the general direction our country is headed? Or do they have complete faith in George W Bush that everything is going to work out just fine? What are they really thinking, contrary to what they are saying?

1. They are huddled in their bunkers
hoping that the rumors of a indictment stopping wonder weapon are true.

3. What I'm hearing is that there aren't any Bush supporters anymore
except those who have vested too much in his adoration and they can't believe they were had.

5. My father, a repub in a huge repub state told me today he's fed up with
all politicians. He said it appears when any party gets too much power they begin to take advantage of it. He's never liked Delay (he loved Trent Lott), still does not like the Democrats, but at least he's frustrated with his party!

Also, Faux news must be down playing the Plame affair because he was surprised to hear the indictments could be a big deal!

7. Keeping mum
I was at a party earlier. At least 5 of the people there have been rabid Bush supporters in the past - one is even a ditto head. In the past, they've always been ready to bring up politics and try to start something with me. Today, not a word was said. Even when another guest and I began discussing how anxious we are for the indictiments to come out, they didn't say a word.

9. They will be completely blindsided by these indictments
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 09:33 PM by TorchesAndPitchforks
Right now everything's just fantasy and speculation by the 'librul media. The Blivetites maintain 80% approval among Republican voters. This support is growing thinner and less wide. They won't know this is a big deal unless the Ministry of Information tells them it is. A people who don't know their history can't recognize history being made while it is happening.

11. They all tell me, I'm not thrilled with Bush
right now...like they may be, as soon as he nominates Janice Rogers Brown to the Supreme Court (which she will never get thorough) and kills another 10.000 Iraqis.
