En Guardian!

The British are coming—again. The launch of a U.S. edition of the unabashedly liberal Guardian may be just what the Bush-whacked U.S. press needs.

2. A Caller on SportsTalk....
WIP (Infinity Broadcasting?) here in the Philadelphia Area mentioned something he had read about Beckham's move to Real Madrid in the Guardian and minutes later some clown calls in to remind everyone that for their information the Guardian, as "everybody" knows, is one of the "biggest Communist newspapers in the world". Thus implying that anything you read there, especially pieces making Bush look like the feckin' eejit he is, can't be believed. Remember, Liberals, BAAAD!!!

3. a turnaround in American publishing
The article in the link talks about the different style of the Guardian paper. Longer, more detailed articles and less flash and ads. That's not what I see as the biggest potential turnaround though.

TELLING THE STORY!!! What a concept.

When a legitimate news source, widely distributed in the US starts talking, will the American press be able to keep the lid on the stories Rove doesn't want told?
