Attn: Nurses, What do you think of a Democratic Nurses Caucus?
I'm seriously considering starting a Democratic Nurse Caucus. If we were to unite as "ONE VOICE" we could be amazingly effective with securing the attention of serious health care needs. Not only health care needs but issues that interface with the needs of humanity as a whole.

ANA, American Nurses Association ,has to wear a nurses cap so to speak, meaning taking on soft-ball issues and dancing with republicans since they have power. We could be strong and progressive and lead the Democratic message on many issues. We don't have claws, we have needles!

We can also have a PAC and back Democrats with spines only.

Nurses and student nurses ......Who is with me? Show your enthusiasm.

1. I'm not a nurse, but volunteer at healthcare centers and non-profit org
I get really, really dissapointed when healthcare issue, in any form, is used as a political tool.

This is way, way to big and important to continue politizicing it. The healt of the citizens of any community should be address regardless of their believes, background and so on.

It is complicated enough when healthcare providers of all sorts divide themselves by ethnicity...

If there were such a partisian organization in the hospitals I volunteer, I would actually request send the admin a letter requesting to remove partician politics of the hospital (which I did once when a rw organization was allowed to distribute info to some staff)

It is not what we should pursue if we want to be part of the society we say we love so much.

When it comes to healthcare ONE VOICE should really mean that. Otherwise, we'll never be able to address the issue. More partisian division will encourage further separation of paths to arrive at any solution...
