2. i think after all the corruption we have seen
it won’t be too much of a shock. We have been screwed so many times that most of us are prob secretly expecting it to happen again...

Well bitch, wine, vent.... But we will keep on fighting for what is right and honorable.

3. Worse, if he only indicts Rove or Libby, will we go ballistic
and claim the fix was in.

I sometimes wonder if all these leaks are from BushCo, trying to work everyone up to expect a massive indictment of the whole administration, so that when only two indictments are returned Bush can say it was all overblown hype, and he'll look good.

4. If Fitzgerald does not indict
there wasn't anything to indict over.

It's that simple for me.

6. Well, yeah
After all, he's been issuing "target" letters, calling folks back for a third and fourth interview before the grand jury, kept his cards close to the vest like any good prosecutor, and the people that have been called before the grand jury are sweating bullets and trying to get in touch with other subpoeanaed folks to make sure they have their stories straight.

No reason at all to think indictments will be issued.

7. We'll have to wait and see.
It's a possibility, but I prefer at this point to send him positive energy by believing there will be indictments.

8. Right now, I don't see Fitzgerald as corrupt,
so I would assume that he did his best and either didn't find anything, or wasn't able to untangle the web of deceit to nail someone.

13. Probbly. What should happen is that everyone should listen
very closely to his explaination. I think Fitz IS going to issue some indictments. But if he doesn't, based upon EVERYTHING that has been reported about his past MO's indicates it would not be because of political influence or lack of due diligence.

The ONLY reason he could possibly have NOT to issue any indictments would be because he could not prove any accusations in a court!

14. I think Fitz will have done his best.
I for one will press our representatives to pass a bill to allow him to issue a report. It must be very difficult for him, because I am sure that he is aware of how interested we all are in this investigation, but he also wants to make sure and only make an indictment when he can make a good case.

Of course, here on DU there will be a kabillion posts claiming that the BFEE "got to him." :eyes:

17. it`s up to the grand jury
they are probably in deliberations right now and will turn over any indictments to the presiding judge in the federal court in that district.

20. Grand jury decides...
and if they don't, they don't. Fitz did his job and did it well either way.

I would be disappointed, but not angry at him or the grand jury.

21. I'll be supremely disappointed but I wouldn't take it out on Fitzgerald
Everything I've read about him tells me that he is the ultimate professional at what he does. If he doesn't go all the way to the top (which is my hope, misplaced or not), it will be because he just didn't have enough evidence to justify it. It won't be because he got cold feet.

beneath EVERY bush is dirt.

Bush criminals are ALWAYS near the crime.
NEVER the indicted or arrested criminal.
