Strange.
I didn't think that the grand jury normally met on Thursdays. But at the top of the hour, a reporter on MSNBC said they were supposed to get together today. Did she make an error, did I hear her wrong, or is today a little different than other Thursdays? Could they be preparing something?

If I were a progressive journalist in the Washington area, I think I'd take a stroll in that direction.

3. Maybe it was a mistake.
They meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Of course, I won't complain if they are meeting today, if you know what I mean. LOL.

12. Of course
they usually don't have to contact targets. Even if they are meeting today, it doesn't mean any public announcements will come. Be nice to have a good journalist to keep us informed.

If I were a progressive reporter, I know I'd go by that court house, and watch who comes and goes. Might be something very interesting going on today.

11. it would be nice, if events that were written about earlier today
were to occur. I not mention anything specific, I'll just keep watching and listening.

6. Yesterday, reporters were saying Friday
I heard it several times on the TV that they GJ wouldn't meet again until Friday.

Not that we can rely on a reporter getting a story correct..........

10. If she's right it could mean a lot of different things, but no indictments
if Fitzgerald is not in town.

If they are meeting and Fitzgerald is not in town, absolutely no chance of indictments.

If the are meeting AND Fitzgerald is in town, possibility of indictments.

14. I love the suspence... I really do!
I've really gotten into the Fitzmas spirit. I'm poking and prodding the sealed gifts under the tree. Shaking them to see if they rattle, even sniffing to see if they pass the smell test.

I think the most tantalizing part of this holiday season is that I don't know for sure what day Fitzmas falls on. I was originally guessing tomorrow, but know it may not happen until next week.. or even not at all. I hadn't even entertained the idea that it may fall on a day I wasn't expecting.

16. The public announcement
may likely be next week. But there are other activities that will have to happen before then. I believe that those who will be indicted are notified before the public announcements. I'd be keeping an eye out for who leaves the building, and where they go.

I'd be camping out across the street with my thermos and my lawn chair. Just like in the old days waiting for tickets to go on sale for a big show.

17. Me too.
It's really sort of fun. We should have a surprise holiday EVERY year! Just sort of randomly pick a day -- keep it secret -- and then drop all kinds of hints about it -- and then one morning you wake up and SURPRISE!

That would be wickedly cool.

22. Think any deals are being cut today?
Anybody who can plead down to a misdemeanor probably will in exchange for information. Fitz will need plenty when these cases go to trial.

Whenever they may be announced, it certainly appears we are in the endgame.

27. I heard on the news ....
The grand jury met yesterday and just sat and waited. Perhaps Fitzgerald spent the day dotting his "I's" and crossing his "T's." If he's looking at 22 files, perhaps it took longer than expected to get everything in order for the GJ.
