I just heard on my local NPR affiliate (I live in Houston) that the Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Office in Richmond, Texas is making preparations for Mr. D to stop by for a few photos and finger-inking today (my phraseology, not theirs). No specific time was given.

7. Friday was the deadline date

He could voluntarily show up before then for booking. I think Friday is the arraignment date as well.
