Fitzgerald Tells Where He'll Make Announcement of Any Indictments
So I was listening to my local news this evening.

And they said Patrick Fitzgerald has said that if any indictments are made in the case, he will make that announcement in Washington, D.C., not Chicago.

He also said no one should read anything into that annoucement; just that he wants everyone to know where the annoucment will be made; if there are indictments.

2. My response.....
Can't wait until Indictment Day. One of my co-workers and I were talking today, and said we are going to have to take the day after Indictment Day off from work.

We'll be too plastered to go in the next day!! :)

12. I hope it's soon too!
I'm getting anxious.

I'm trying to picture it. Rove, Libby and Cheney are indicted. Bush possibly an unindicated co-conspirator.

And possibly more people on the list! That's how I hope it goes down.

15. I hope you're right!
That would be nice. :) And it does seem like a strange message. He's doing the case from DC, so it only makes sense that he would make the indcitments from there.

4. Where does this Chicago business come from?
I am highly suspect of this post. Greg Szymanski's been posting all sorts of ridiculous stuff about Fitzgerald and the "Chicago grand jury" in spite of the fact that Fitz, the grand jury, and the Department of Justice are in Washington, DC, not Chicago.

It's been corrected thousands of times on these forums.

So, this is probably a rubbish announcement.

5. I believe Fitz
is an attorney in Chicago, so he has been basing some of his operations from there. That is probably where those rumors started.

7. His operations are in DC.

That's where the DOJ is. That's where the grand jury is. The only thing I've seen with Chicago is Greg Szymanski's wild and specious reports.

8. No, really? I thought Rove, Miller, Cooper, Miller, and all the other ...
... witnesses were climbing onto airplanes, flying to Chicago O'Hare, taxiing into Chicago, testifying, taxiing back to O'Hare, flying back to DC, and taxiing back to work! I thought Judith Miller was jailed in Arlington because the Chicago jails were full.

Gee... go figure! :banghead:

I really have to wonder about the mental health of anyone who thinks this is happening in Chicago. Can't they read the datelines?

17. He's the Federal Prosecutor for Illinois.
That's in addition to and separate from his special prosecutor role. He makes announcements regarding Illinois cases (like prosecuting the whole Illinois GOP) from Chicago. The Plamegate case is DC based.

Fitzgerald is an Illinois US attorney, so he goes back there. He has other investigations going on, Ex Governor Ryan for one.
