Condi says"George Bush Likes Black People" Huum
I saw her on television saying that he really cares about Black People and that" his Cabinet is the most multi-cultural,looks like America."

She said that when she travels around the globe representing America people are glad to see that he has selected an African American for the position.

AND, she added proudly "Colin Powell, an African American, was Secretary of State before I assumed the position."

:grr:

Rich black people are exactly the same as rich white people in his eyes. And poor people are scum to him no matter what thier color.

Going Backwards
Bush Rolls Back 30 Years of Affirmative Action
by Andrew Gumbel in Los Angeles

The White House opened itself to criticism on one of the most racially charged issues in the United States yesterday as it announced its intention to intervene in a high-profile Supreme Court case and voice its opposition to affirmative action in university admissions procedures.

The case, centering on the University of Michigan's system of racial preferences, is expected to be a landmark in the long-running debate on affirmative action, which has already been eroded by local court rulings and popular ballot initiatives in several US states.

George Bush has made little secret of his opposition to affirmative action ever since he hit the presidential campaign trail four years ago, arguing that that it is unfair and possibly unconstitutional. Some of his advisers, however, have urged caution for fear of jeopardizing his chances of netting black and Latino votes when he runs for re-election in 2004.

----
Was it just a coincidence that the thousands left to die in NOLA were Black?

What has Bush done for minorities to prove he isn't a racist?

25. Are you giving Bush a pass for operationalizing racism?
He operationalizes racism, at a federal legislation level and you claim he's not racist because you feel it wasn't based on any "personal conviction of his own?"

I don't give a shit what Bush's twisted thoughts are. ACTIONS speak louder than words (or thoughts).

Examine his supposed personal convictions or thoughts all you'd like, I'll judge him on his actions.

40. LOL! Yes, they do resent being forced.
They resented being forced to give up owning slaves.
They resented having to share water fountains, being forced to end Jim Crow laws.
They resented having their white children go to school with Black children, having the schools integrated.
They resented the passage of the Civil Rights Act and the Dems paid the price for that in the South for decades.

Tough shit. Sometimes it takes a little "forcing" to bring about progress.

26. Nope, Rich Blacks don't like him even though they like the tax

break. Who wouldn't?

I have the horror of having a Republican for a friend.

They invited me to a Republican Dinner and I thought I would go to just check it out. It was filled with BORING people with NO conversation of worth.

It was in Los Angeles, multi-cultural city.

There were 4 Black Republicans in attendance - about 500 Whites and maybe three Hispanics.

Two owned several Mc Donald's

One was in some kind of business

and my horror friend, who years ago worked for the Republican Governor.

Since then she has been APPOINTED to some commissions by DEMOCRATS.

We were treated nicely but that is it. No special treatment.

My horror friend has not had her door knocked down with any job offers.

The other African Americans that I know that are in the high tax bracket HATE Bush and they realize that he thinks nothing of them AT ALL.

And they felt that way BEFORE Katrina, after Katrina they KNOW he doesn't like them.

I think that 2 % is an honest number IMO

does not mean he cares about blacks! His true feelings surfaced when he cuts funding for lower class multi-cultural neighborhoods, the same time he provide society's richer people with tax breaks.

How about the comments "Ole Barb" made in Houston?! Oh sure, they care a lot about black people!

not becasue they're black. He screws plenty of poor white people too. And he showers the rich with gifts becasue they're rich, not becasue of what color they are.

Kinda that old Puritan thing as best I can tell- rich people are rich becasue God wants them to be. Poor people are poor becasue they're sinners.

29. Exactly! "No Child Left Behind" was designed

to leave poor people behind.

He USED Black children and encouraged their parents to pull out of Public schools and put them in his WHITE buddies Charter Schools.

He USED Black Ministers to preach against gays, abortion and Hip Hop so that he could push his parties agenda.

Armstrong Williams begged to be USED and he was.

Clarence Thomas BEGGED to be used to push the Crime Family's agenda.

He doesn't even SEE African Americans, he only sees GREED.

Black people see right through it... Go Kanye!!!

32. I am trying to think of a Black Person that he MADE rich
that was not doing his dirty work...

Colin -- dirty work
Condi - dirty work
Clarence Thomas - dirty work

Note: all of them could have made it without him!

Armstrong Williams? He ain't RICH!
and the money he was stealing, he is now in trouble for.

Oprah? She didn't need GW to make her rich.

P. Diddy and the Hip Hop crowd? Nope

The late Johnnie Cochran --- nope! He made his own way

Sports Stars - Nope, their skill got them where they are today

Johnson Publishing Company - he didn't hardly make them rich!

Black Ministers -- maybe he gave them a few $$ to get some votes for him but they would have been rich anyway because of their followers.

Jamie Foxx and other stars - Nope

These people would have been money makers on their own.

Now Clinton helped open doors for many Black Americans.

He put Ron Brown in place and Ron never forgot his people. That is just one example, Alexis Herman is another.

Clinton moved his office to Harlem and he was warmly welcomed.

Why - because ,he TRULY likes Black people and we know it.

Once a year for MLK day. Does that count?

I have have always suspected that if you looked at the speaking enagagements, published materials and appearences by all of these so-called Black conservatives that you will find that they spend most of their time pandering to a White audience. I can't prove it but I feel it in my gut.

Which is why when they start all of this crap about the Republican way being the wave of the future for Black folk, I gotta laugh. If they really felt that way, they'd be working day in and day out trying to push their message in the Black Community

But we don't see that do we? Far easier to go on TV or speak to an entirely different race about what the Black community should do.

Hell, his offices are in Harlem. That say's a lot more than putting Condi in the massah's big house. (as Harry Belafonte said about Colin.)

60. Never that I can remember

Did you see her in the Gulf States when she went to visit the African American Church?

It was classic.
She was the closest thing I've seen to "a fish out of water."

* She actually had her eyes closed/taking a little snooze
probably tired and hurting from those $1000 shoes

She acted like she had never been inside a Black Church in her life!

* She was sitting with a White man, probably her assistant,no problem.

But, anybody knows when an important Black person comes to visit a Black church, the Head Deacon or someone very friendly is assigned to that person, to make them comfortable.

You will see them chatting quietly to the guest telling them about the order of the service etc.

I didn't see anyone that she was talking to except the White man

* After the service was over, Sleeping Beauty was wide awake. As she was exiting, she crossed over the aisle to ONE nice lady and shook her hand. The lady was smiling.

No one else moved out of their seat or reached to touch her hand.

Telling!

Well ain't that a switch.

The idea, though, is to find someone who is COMPETENT from among a group of people.

The idea is not to pick from among your CRONIES OF COLOR, and exclude non-cronies of color.

You definitely need to be at least Republican and a minority, it seems. Otherwise he could give a damn about you.

77. Pooh, I missed it!
BB, Condi is the "exception." She has been all her life. The *dauphin has annointed her. To imagine that any connexion she has to the Black community includes "personal responsibility" is to deny the "theory" of gravity. *Blithering Blivet has certainly afforded her a gravitas in his and her own mind (and who wants to bet *HE paid fer da SHOES ).

67. The Bible speaks well of slavery.
We do indeed have people in this country who would welcome it back.

70. Without a doubt. The repukes stance on labor law/min. wage tells
it all.

Basically, they've enslaved the poor already, and are working on the middle class right now.

62. I was watching the show "Cold Case"
It had to do with an old murder of a black baseball player who had the potential of breaking "the color barrier" At the end, the Black detective watches his nephew in a mixed little league game hit first base. The ghost of the murdered man tips his hat to the black detective-- He was a ground breaker. Very moving.

Then reality hit. Racism isn't gone. Bush is a racist asshole, in a country where racism is coming out of the closet in droves. Oh, yes how far we have come! But we have so far to go, and Rice stands for the worst of the worst. She is the one who plays the "race card" See? look at me! I'm black AND a woman! One. Black. Woman. Sacrificing any principle she may have had to this ignorant white man who uses people of color to further his ignorant agenda.
Evidently she's part of the 2% of blacks that "approve" of his bullshit.

Bush has two daughters of marriageable age. Who's coming home to dinner george? The thought makes you you squirm, doesn't it? Doesn't it george?

63. Good points!

I have never seen a picture of the Bush girls drinking or falling out drunk with a multi cultural crowd.

Seems like they would have one Black friend.

Condi continues to disappoint.

How anyone can call her brilliant is beyond me.

I am not impressed with anything that comes out of her mouth.

She is one mean mean machine and a tool for the Crime Family.

Black and tough on the outside... white and soft inside.

And the race card lost its merit the moment Colin Powell did a 180 regarding Iraq.
