Some asshole decided to write all of this hateful bullshit near where I work. Your typical anti-choice crap like "abortion is murder" and "a woman's right to choose = a man's right to use" (I don't even know what the fuck that means to be honest. So I stopped at the drug store, bought myself some chalk, and scribbled all of that shit out to make it illegible. No way I'm letting those fuckers get away with that!

It's not easy.

The concept is that the right to choose to carry a pregnancy or not is bound up in the misbegotten rights of men to have sex with women without consequences, and forces women to bear all of the consequences for children while men get off free. People who use this kind of logic are perfectly comfortable with the concept of shotgun weddings and punitative child support (until, of course, the mother complains that the father is not a good parent or she decides to marry for love, at which point "fathers' rights" kick in...) rather than abortion as a means of handling unplanned pregnancy. They believe that the feminist, sex-positive movement is a mistake, that women should guard their virginity well and use it as a Sword of Damocles to encourage marriage and fidelity. In other words, sex should only be for fun in marriage, and only for the man.
