Did anyone happen to catch Chris Matthews' review of...
"Good Night, and Good Luck"?? I was watching it, and for some reason the local station cut to commercial right in the middle of it, so I never got to hear what he said - but it sounded like the review was going to be favorable. Can anyone fill me in??

1. It was very favorable. He mentioned the show "Mash", how
even though it supposedly took place in Korea, how it reflected feelings about VN. Went on to say no one should go to this movie feeling nostalgic for olden days as that's not the message; the message is the comparisons to what was going on during the McCarthy era and what's happening now, and the media's complicity (or lack thereof) in then vs. now.

3. How bizarre - he - a player in the media collusion is speaking about
the media? He is one messed up psycho - one day he delivers the talking points perfectly - the next he has a conscious? Another conflicted face on the screen of propaganda and bs.

4. He referred to it as "the George Clooney 'buy-OP-pick'"
Note to Tweety: 'biopic' does NOT rhyme with 'myopic'. Moran. He must have taken TelePrompTer lessons from King Dumbass**!

They're just the product of the dumbing down of America through mainstream media, USA Hurray! (aka USA Today) and "No Child Left Behind" (AKA Every Child Left Behind). :eyes:

6. yes, the irony was astounding
All the while Tweety was blathering on about how we need strong, honest and brave journalists to tell the truth, I'm thinking, well, you could start....
These guys are incredible -- they have the biggest mouthpieces in the world, and they are capable of accomplishing so much, but they allow themselves to become willing shills for this corrupt administration, and then sit back and criticize OTHERS for not doing THEIR work!
And, by the way, when citizen journalists and bloggers do the heavy lifting FOR them, they mock, marginalize and demean them.
Hey Matthews, with all the millions you're getting for selling your soul, why don't you buy a clue?
