Whaaaaa? Judith Miller
"I said I believed the information came from another source, whom I could not recall."

So, stupid, you went to jail to protect "I could not recall"?

Man did they get to her or what?

1. They certainly have some convenient memory lapses, huh?

MILLER'S MEMORY....For what it's worth, I just want to point out that Judith Miller's contention that she can't remember who originally provided her with the name "Valerie Flame" is completely ridiculous. She apparently wrote down the name in her notebook sometime around July 8, 2003, and obviously she knew where it came from at the time. Within a week, Robert Novak had written his infamous column in which he outed Valerie Plame, and Miller certainly hadn't forgotten who provided her the name that quickly. A couple of days later all hell broke loose, and that would have etched the name of her source in her mind permanently.

Miller's excuse for her forgetfulness is that "It is also difficult, more than two years later, to parse the meaning and context of phrases, of underlining and of parentheses." But it's not a matter of Miller not remembering a trivial detail two years after the fact. It's a question of whether she remembered it a week after the fact.

Answer: of course she did. And if she remembered it then, she certainly remembers it now. She just doesn't want to say so.

11. Could "Valerie Flame" be a nickname
used by people who actually knew quite a lot about her already?

5. Let's see....does the State Dept ring a bell? First name John, last name
Bolton? Or maybe it was someone else. Or maybe not.

But notice how Judy said "she didn't think" it came from Libby. Like she was there yes? She spoke to Libby, yes? And she doesn't know for sure what Libby did or did not tell her? And if maybe it wasn't Libby, oh dang....who was that who told me? Gee, I just can't remember that or who I talked to about it.

She supposedly can remember in detail and entire paragraphs of Libby's self serving BS about the CIA and how they fouled up the intel. But something central that she has reason to remember for many reasons that summer and for the subsequent year that she refused to talk about it, Judy goes all vague and forgetful.

If I were on the grand jury I'd want to indict her for those lies and for insulting our intelligence with that story.

7. Wrote "Valerie Flame"
and "Victoria Wilson", and doesn't remember that either. No way, people that smart don't forget why they write down notes on an important story and you can ask them 20 years later and they'll still remember. She lied all the way through this testimony. She's either scared or has protection.

8. I think Judy bought herself a cot in a cell
She could have gotten out clean, but she chose to lie in the filth and lies that the rest of them have chosen for their beds.

Perjury.

13. Who mumbles when he speaks?
Who would have such clout that you would be a bit timid about asking for the SPELLING of the name, as good reporters do?

Who mumbled Valerie PLAME, and it sounded like VALERIE FLAME??

My guess: MUMBLIN' DICK CHENEY!!!!!!!!!!

14. Yeah, unless Judy doctored her notes somehow or did this on purpose.
She might have thought the misspelling would somehow leave her an "out".

Were these notes written in pencil?
