Very scary week coming up.

With the likelihood of indictments by mid to late week pretty good the Bush Administration needs a diversion. Terror alerts and other theatrical side trips aren't working anymore and that is what scares me. They may resort to actually doing something. It could be very bad.

Try this on for size around tuesday: an unprovoked naval attack against a North Korean Naval vessel. The Navy sinks one of their gunboats and then Bush rapidly runs the resulting international event right up to the brink of nuclear war. They could do that easily you know.

That most Americans have gotten hipped to Bush's tactics. Most thinking peope know that when the tough gets going for Bush, he pulls out the terror card.

I don't know if it's going to work this time. They were interviewing this one New Yorker about the so-called threat to New York's subways (which we know is now highly questionable). Anyway, this one guy said they (the government) are going to keep crying wolf and no one's going to believe them.

And I think he's absolutely right. When they might REALLY need us to believe them, we won't because they've used the terror card so much now.

The Pentagon and CIA are pissed enough at them that they won't keep their mouth shut. They will pull back the curtain on some element like the leak of the staged teleconference with soldiers this week.

Additionally, with all the anti-terrorist hype, even if it isn't revealed as fake, the public will feel they gave up civil liberties, schools, and endured record debts to fight terror for nothing.
