8. Sorry, just wanted to let people know he was on tv ASAP.
he is talking to a bunch of soldiers via teleconference. He is reciting his terra speech and has not let them talk yet. I think the soldiers "Conference" are just an excuse for him to yell terra, terra, terra.

29. Of course
And then some scripted question's. :eyes: I remember reading when he "surprised" the troops at Thanksgiving one year that the soliders had to tell if they were republican or democratic and only republicans could eat and be around him and the democrats had to wait till he left. :eyes: I wonder if something like that is happening today.

47. This is a very strange, canned, propaganda show.
Look! We have ten hand-selected officers telling us things are going great in Iraq !

Well, I suppose I have to change my mind after this.

Good grief, it is a new low. Not going very well for Chimp. He can barely complete a sentence. Does the cabal really think kind of thing will really affect public opinion?

Well, like they say, never underestimate the stupidity of the American People.

But I don't think this weird dog and pony show will convince many people. In fact, seeing Bush bumbling will probably convince a lot of people he is a moron.

What struck me was the response from *... it wasn't "I like you, too", it was simply (after a pause) "thank you".

I wonder if the facts that this soldier's skin tone was browner than Chimpy's, and that he spoke with a heavy Middle Eastern-sounding accent had anything to do with the less-than-reciprocal reply.

65. Passive resistance?
The last time Bush spoke to troops, most looked like they were sitting at attention. They didn't clap (except once, and that was started by a WH aide), and gave the impression that they were there simply because they were ordered to do so. Could it be that these soldiers are doing the same thing and "stumbling" over their lines?

Edited on Thu Oct-13-05 09:08 AM by kentuck
This is scripted. The troops were selected and given the questions and answers...He's pushing the propaganda for the election in Iraq as being some sort of historical event, when most likely, it will only make matters worse, but even then, that would be a sign things are getting better...If they get worse, that will show how desperate the terrorists really are. If you can get away with lies and distortions, you never have ot lose anything. There are never consequences for your actions.
