Matt Lauer's interview with Bush the Homebuilder- did you notice
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 06:52 PM by Marr
Bush's petulant response to Lauer when he asked if it was possible to, as Bush said, 'keep politics out of the rebuilding of New Orleans'?

Bush leaned forward and said, "it depends on who's asking the questions, I guess". That really shocked me. I mean, I know he's a snotty little shit, but that seemed pretty in-your-face snotty.

Anybody else notice that moment?

That wasn't the only time in the interview that Bush suggested Lauer was a liberal partisan of some type, either. Bush said it was "interesting" that Lauer was quoting so many Democrats, for instance.

It's at about 3:20 on the video that's at www.crooksandliars.com , by the way.

7. Hmmm ...
I decided to not EVER watch the Today Show again because I figured they were shilling for the boy king. I never anticipated the boy king would have been that bad.

17. I haven't watched the Today show for at least a year
I used to be a faithful viewer. Since I stopped watching The Captain in black & white no less.
I even e-mailed the Show to tell them how they lost a long time viewer.

13. Lauer has golfed with the Bushes
He's like Paula Zahn...a personal friend of the family. He has no credibility as a "journalist." He's just a pretty-boy front man to make the housewives in the morning audience swoon.

3. He's a sneering little frat rat who has been entitled all his life.

He represents everything I despise.

I saw that snotty comment. He thinks he's cool, and he thinks he's funny, because he surrounds himself with the likes of Condi and Harriet, supplicating nurturers.

If Barbara hadn't been such a shitty mother, we'd be spared this presidency.

5. Even the softballs Matt was throwing...
bush didn't like. You have to remember bush thinks he's the king of the world. He's above all that and doesn't think people have the right to question or criticize him.

He's insulated himself to such a degree that when it does happen, he gets miffed.

This is why there is so few press conferences.

Looking back at Clinton, he was never afraid of the press and showed it.

6. Bush must have been drunk for the last 3 years
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 06:56 PM by goclark
Matt should have been so disappointed because he has been a loyal whore for Bush for a long time.

Remember how he lashed into Kitty Kelly?

10. I do- and Michael Moore also.
Lauer has been a major Bush clown for years. That made Bush's thin-skinned responses seem even more weird.

11. Has Matt Lauer grown some balls as of late?
I doubt it. Liberal pundit my ass. Matt Lauer interviewing any world leader is pathetically embarrassing most of all for the viewers.

He should really go back into landscaping.

15. Who watches these birdbrains?
Matt Lauer, Tweety, Wolf Blitzer, all those assholes. They're worthless, just looking for nonsense to fill up the empty space on the air. Nothing they do is worth anything, and they sure as hell aren't worth watching - especially for an interview with Fuckface.

Don't waste your time with that crap. Lots of other great stuff to do. Life's too short.

16. damn washington post! bush said 'special prosecutor' twice
but wash post transcript leaves the 'special' part out...it's truly creepy the pigmedia covering for bush! Why? so what if he mistook fitgerald for a 'special' prosecutor as oppossed to an old fashioned run of mill everyday prosecutor?
i hope i'm not only one who notices this (it's in the video, just before lauer asks about iraq)....twice bush says 'special' prosecutor (like ken starr?).. BUT the wash post realized it must be edited off transcript!

Orleans is all those poor people."
