"Throughout the U2 tour, politicians from both sides have been organizing fundraisers at the venues or around specific shows. Neither DATA or Bono are involved in these and they cannot be controlled. The U2 concerts are categorically not fundraisers for any politician - they are rock concerts for U2 fans."

If situations like this "cannot be controlled" in some way, I'm going to have to forego buying concert tickets at all whether it's their fault or not. I love U2, but I would not attend this concert or any future concerts of theirs if I know they are helping advance politicians like Santorum. It doesn't matter to me if it's their fault or not.
