7. I listened to NPR for an hour this morning...
1/3 of that hour was dedicated to the earthquake.

Do you just mean DU? I'd agree there's almost no discussion of it here. TV, radio and newspapers are covering it, according to posts in this thread, and Google News lists 2420 web articles about it.

4. Democracy Now! spent 20 minutes of it's hour show today on the quake
the rest on Indigenous people - in light of it being "Columbus Day" or "Indigenous People's Day" depending on where you live and what you think about that.
