'06 Elections: The Most Important Issue in Our Country. Right Now.
Edited on Sat Oct-08-05 04:21 PM by bj2110
Without a doubt:

The '06 Congressional Elections.

Focus should be placed there. Everything else will follow. We need a majority, and without it, the ball just continues to roll down the hill, heading for the ditch.

Every effort being made for every other seemingly important issue needs to be refocused. And that's the bottom line.

As much as I don't agree with much of Sen. Bill Nelson's (D-FL) actions, I will support him. Especially now in the fight against Harris. Everyone needs to actively get involved with their local congressional campaigns. Today.

We need '06. Worse than we needed '04, or '02. And if we don't get it, I'm not sure we'll get the chance in '08.

1. Rethug oppression and corruption - play it up in the campaign!
Watching the C-Span coverage of Pelosi trying to ask a question as the House speaker attempted to shout her down made me sick to my stomach.

Focus on the hypocrisy of the Republicans - how they have grossly failed in their basic party platform of less government and restrained spending. Not to mention this has become a party of damnable corruption and cronyism at the highest level. The majority party has been reckless in its abuse of power and I think most of America is sick and tired of these yokels.

Competence, accountability, and to be in service of the People of the United States (and not in the service of corporations). That should be the mantra of the Democratic party. PLAY IT UP!
