Talking head on Dobbs says the country wants someone who
will bring unity to the nation. My question; "Under whose agenda?"

Sorry, bub, I don't feel any driving need for commity or unity at this point.

Republicans don't want unity. They would have no one to blame.

6. The Republicans just want to have all of the money, with no whiners.

2. Bill Clinton was one of the most popular presidents in US history.
If he's saying we need a president more like Bill Clinton than like George W. Bush, then I'll go along with that.

But even if the Clinton years, there a signficant and vocal minority who hated Clinton.

7. From what I heard
they were saying the Democrats have no real platform, nothing going for them to win future votes...and that as far as weakening the Republican party goes, because of the Plame and DeLay cases, etc., the Republicans appear to be doing all the work for them. They said the only chance the Democrats have in the next pres election is to nominate someone who can promise to unite the country...and then they mentioned Rudy, who's a Republican.

I'm pretty sure the talking heads on Lou Dobbs' show today are all conservatives. They might criticize Bush sometimes, but they sure aren't Democrats.

12. The only reason why we have " no real platform" is due to the media's
unwillingness to report it, as well as the GOP's strangle hold on reality creation.

we get to keep the Constitution and B of R and improve on it and they get the war mongering corporations who will use their children as their corporate soldiers who torment, torture, and bomb. Let them see if they can conquer the world with their fetus loving trickle down reverends and their followers.

I'm having a hour of bitterness at the present time.

5. It's the right-wing talking points.
What people want is a new direction. If the direction makes sense, it will automatically have the result of uniting this country.

10. After listening to the thought leaders of the Repuke party for several
years (Frist, Dobson, Falwell, Robertson, Delay, Rove, Cheney, et al)
I think that the differences in what the two dominant cultures (reason vs theocracy) in this country are insurmountable. We should have a divorce, and split this country into two.

Let them enable their racist, militarist, anti-science theocracy and run their country as they see fit. And let the reason based community continue on with the US Constitution, fair and certifiable elections, and the Bill of Rights as a guiding principle.

The brain drain out of Jesusland will be stunning, and their descent into third world status unparalleled. Businesses will initially flock into Jesusland where they can control the agenda and steal with impunity. It will be a short term advantage. You cannot run a modern enterprise with people that can recite 200 Bible passages, but are illiterate in math and science.

The divide between our world views and goals is far too wide to cross. We should go our separate ways rather than try to subjugate each other into societies that neither side can tolerate.

11. The reich-wing idea of "unity" marching in an orderly fashion ...
... into the gas chambers. :puke: When people like Coulter actually advocate the death of liberals, their lying rhetoric about "unity" is mere code for compliance and obedience to their regime.
