Which thug would 'jump ship'
with * polling numbers falling. Would they vote against Meirs to save themselves?

Senate up in 2006:
MISSISSIPPI: Trent Lott (R)
PENNSYLVANIA: Rick Santorum (R)
VIRGINIA: George F. Allen (R)
Other Senators in races in 2006

I don't know if these politicans are worth supporting or deserve retirement. I'll find out more soon.
ARIZONA: Jon Kyl (R)
MISSOURI: Jim Talent (R)
MONTANA: Conrad Burns (R)
NEVADA: John Ensign (R)
OHIO: Mike DeWine (R)
TEXAS: Kay Bailey Hutchison (R)
UTAH: Orrin G. Hatch (R)
WYOMING: Craig Thomas (R)

3. Lott would be my first pick to vote against Miers
he'd claim she's an unknown quantity, and he wouldn't be far off the mark.

4. George Allen wants to be president.
To get the rabid right base, he would be my number one pick to lead a move against Miers. Lott will make some noise, but he'll support who the majority of his party supports.

Hutchinson would never vote against a Repug nominee, and Miers is also from Texas. Forget about it.

5. Allen and maybe Lott
We need at least 5 to block this nominee.
