The GOP is cracking apart
The country needs a new third party for ultra right wingers to put the last nail in the GOP's casket.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/national/AP-Bush-AP-Poll.html?pagewanted=print

Public sentiment about the nation's direction has sunk to new depths at a time people are anxious about Iraq, the economy, gas prices and the management of billions of dollars being spent for recovery from the nation's worst natural disaster.

Only 28 percent say the country is headed in the right direction while two-thirds, 66 percent, say it is on the wrong track, the poll found.

Those most likely to have lost confidence about the nation's direction over the past year include white evangelicals, down 30 percentage points, Republican women, 28 points, Southerners, 26 points, and suburban men, 20 points.

Bush's supporters are uneasy about issues including federal deficits, immigration and his latest nomination for the Supreme Court. Social conservatives are concerned about his choice of Miers, a relatively unknown lawyer who has most recently served as White House counsel.

2. I'd feel better about this type of article from the Times if our
numbers would start going up in Congress or the state level.

3. Jesus
White Evangelicals
Republican Women
Southerners
Suburban Men

That's pretty much the Republican party isn't it? Things are getting very bad for this administration. They're going to have to pull out all the stops to hold onto this thing and you know what that means don't you?

Big things go BOOM.

8. This isn't anywhere near the bottom
We're talking new territory here in the next few months.

But note that the GOP has historically done its dirty work in off-election years. Starting in January, watch for a softening on many fronts. However there are things going on right now that have spun so far out of control that the GOP will have a hard time bringing things back under control in an election year. By "under control" I mean a softer more vague and ambiguous message full of stars and stripes forever garbage that makes people go limp. Of course, that's why they have Diebold.

9. The Republican base is 69% solid.
They don't need to worry about the bad Germans. (Or are they good Germans? I forget which is which.)

And the other 31% wait until election season to be told what to believe and who to hate.

Republicans suck. Dogs are smarter.

thing to happen to the GOP in 25 years.
As it is now, it's suffering from an inoperable, rapidly spreading cancer.
