Senate Votes to Give Bush More War Funds

WASHINGTON - The Senate voted Friday to give
President Bush $50 billion more for the wars in
Iraq and
Afghanistan and U.S. military efforts against terrorism, money that would push total spending for the operations beyond $350 billion.

excuse when they point out his failures.

I believe that most of the Dems will be demanding an earlier pullout based on Bush's inability to come up with a successful military strategy.

With the Dems all voting FOR this, it certainly looks like that is where this is headed. Both Clark and Kerry have stated that they only see a 2 month window of opportunity to succeed, and that was about a month ago.

isn't Bush the same guy who this week said there's no way the government can afford to rebuild New Orleans, and it's gonna be up to private donations? Or was that somebody else?
