Did something happen to DU?

I visited at about 5:00 AM then.....nothing for almost 3 hours. No updates, no new posts whenever I posted I kept getting an "error" message. Something up here? Seems to be back to normal now, I'll know when I click on "post". Any one else having similar problems? :shrug:

2. I was getting an error..

.... when I tried to look at "My Posts" this morning. Then I tried to post, and it failed, complaining that my DU cookies were corrupted.

I deleted the cookies, logged in and everything has been fine since then.

8. Everything is missing from 4:58 AM....

until 7:58 AM on the latest post page BUT I can see all of the posts if I click on the General Discussion area. Hmmmm. Oh well, everything seems to be back to normal now. Some "bug" I guess, hopefully not the type the government releases from time to time.

I was hoping it wasn't a DOS attack or something more sinister, I guess I'm getting a little paranoid with all that's happening and rumored to be happening. Glad to be back to "normal", without this place I'd stumble around all day in a fog. ;)

but the "latest" page was not updating properly.

I've been noticing the same thing this morning

In my conspiracy theory mind, I'm wondering if we're being shut out (by who knows who, freeper hackers, feds, jackasses, doesn't matter) on this, what looks to be a hopping, spinning Friday.

Yeah, in my conspiracy theory mind, it was just a matter of time. The internet is the strongest tool of all those opposed to the murderous intent of this admin. It's what they'll have to take away to make it all work. They can't "compute" how this new, powerful information-sharing tool complicates their plans, and the best way to deal with it is to minimize the threat. They don't have to take it down, just screw it up. Selectively. And don't think they don't have the brain power to do it. If I can think of it, they've already found five different ways to make it happen.

Just to share my opinion, this has been bothering me. In my conspiracy theory ridden mind, I hope I'm the crazy one, but now after Katrina, I know, I KNOW I cannot possibly be more insane that those "in charge", and I can't think of anything too unbalanced and wrong for them to "consider".
