Wake Up and Pay Attention!!! Bush Doesn't Get the Nuclear Threat...
...Bin Laden has had nukes here in the U.S. for a couple years. He's just waiting for his moment to assemble a multiple event (designed for maximum impact).

WEDNESDAY
OCTOBER 2
2002

A new book by an FBI consultant on international terrorism says Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida terrorist network purchased 20 suitcase nuclear weapons from former KGB agents in 1998 for $30 million.

The book,"Al Qaeda: Brotherhood of Terror," by Paul L. Williams, also says this deal was one of at least three in the last decade in which al-Qaida purchased small nuclear weapons or weapons-grade nuclear uranium...

"By 1990 bin Laden had hired hundreds of atomic scientists from the former Soviet Union for $2,000 a month – an amount far greater that their wages in the former Soviet republics," Williams writes. "They worked in a highly sophisticated and well-fortified laboratory in Kandahar, Afghanistan."

"...Wlliams says the Russian Mafia made another mysterious deal with "Afghani Arabs" in search of nuclear weapons in 1996. The Russians who sold the material now live in New York.

2. Bin Laden is/was a CIA operative
so they are all one in the same. There is no "war on terror" and if we get nuked look no further than our own Government.

3. Everybody has a nuke buried somewhere in the garage,
but you have to check the born-on dates because they don't last forever.

4. "well-fortified laboratory in Kandahar, Afghanistan."
so much for that gazillion dollar satellite surveillance system. If it didn't pick up something like a nuclear development facility it's all been a bit of a waste of taxpayers' money methinks.

Wasn't it satellite surveilance pictures that formed part of the case for WMD's in Iraq? Maybe the satellites were looking in the wrong place.

The suitcase Nuke is largely a myth. They've been discussed for decades yet not so much as one picture of one from any nation has ever been produced by anyone.

Here's why. Uranium is REALLY heavy. Enough to produce critical mass is REALLY REALLY heavy. Shielding to protect the carrier, or at a minimum detection is really heavy. Put it all together and it aint a suitcase no mo.

If Bin Laden had 20 suitcase nukes since 1998, why would he bother using aircraft on 9/11 for risky, relatively small attack, when he could have wiped out 20 cities with no risk instead?

If the mythical suitcase nukes existed (and binladen had 20, this country would have ceased to exist on 9/11

11. Suitcase nukes are possible.
I just read about it in national geographic. It takes like 13kg of plutonium, or like 33 kg of uranium for critical mass, that's it. Such a nuke will only take out everything in like a three block radius though, not a whole city.

8. george noory had a guy on a couple of
nights ago ranting about this. he ranted about all the bombs ,etc and then he started explaining that all muslims should be put in concentration camps because they are all terrorists...even george couldn`t buy that shit.

this guy was saying the south american gang m16? was sending hundreds of terrorists across the southern borders and many with back pack bombs big enough to kill hundreds of thousands and those bombs are in the mosques across america.

10. Yeah, this guy has been flogging the Osama with nukes idea
since 2002 (he's written 3 books in 3 years on the topic). The bulk of his research has been culled from the internet. He's resourceful, but he's a layman, not an investigative reporter.

He claims Osama's been avidly pursuing a nuclear arsenal since the late 80s - early 90s, scooping up Soviet scientists and becoming a client of A Q Khan. In 1993, he manages to purchase bomb grade nuclear material. In 1998, he scores BIG with the purchase of suitcase nukes.

Meanwhile, during this time Osama is involved in attacks on a US military barracks, a US Navy ship, and US embassies. All done with conventional explosives.

So... at the very last moment the US isn't hyper vigilant about domestic attacks, he sets embedded sleepers into motion and unleashes...

... 3 jetliners against 3 buildings. Not nukes on cities.

He lost the initiative, the element of surprise, the last chance to exploit lax security, and most importantly, the ripe opportunity to detonate nukes on the Great Satan's soil.

I doubt Osama's that stupid. I'm sure Paul L Williams is, though.
