Poll question: Let's pretend bush is forced from office before 2008.
Is it worth his having been "re-elected," or would you prefer to have seen Kerry win in '04?

I'm not so sure, myself.

You sure you are on the right board?

4. Two things:

1) Kerry would be spending God knows how long trying to clean up bush's mess.* And I haven't seen anyone suggest any way to un-break what bush did in Iraq. So it's a very good bet that Kerry would get nothing but undeserved grief from bush's supporters, to the detriment of the USA and the world.

2) bush has a far better chance of getting what he deserves (rove in jail, at least) since he's still, uh, "in control". We may be watching it happen before our eyes.

What do I know? I'm just a dumb Soviet Canuckistani. Anyway, it was just a thought, and I thought I'd throw it out there.

*I remember after the election last year, a lot of people were consoling each other saying essentially the same thing, that well, at least bush has to deal with what he's created. So, yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm on the right board. :)

6. Fair enough
I'd still take my chances with Kerry. Seeing my home town and the city where most of my relatives live destroyed by complete inaction was enough to make me give Dan Qauyle a chance.

7. Sometimes I should just shut up.
I may live next door, but I'm not exactly walking a mile in your shoes.

Sorry if I came across as flip or arrogant or anything in between.

I misunderstood what you were implying. Your comments were cool. I'm addled these days.

9. Yeah, and I'm an insulated Canadian.
Sometimes a (rightfully) nosy neighbour should be a little more sensitive.

Cheers, and all the best.

10. Talking to Canadians right now
is a lot like sticking your head out of the prison cell to see the sunshine and realize that there is a world out there that we might one day return to.

11. I think there's a good chance you might be about to, uh...
"turn the corner".

No doubt, the whole world is watching.

Good luck! (And prayers.)

13. Yes, he did
His plan was to begin bringing troops home this past summer. Too bad nobody heard it because he dared to call it "creating a stable Iraq" instead of "withdrawal".

16. Maybe
I would have perferred kerry if I would have known that bush is such a disaster and that the gas would be so dang high. Too bad we didn't have a better candidate, I would have voted for him in a heart beat
