WHAT IF OUR KIDS CHOOSE TO DESERT???
there is a lot of angst amongst our kids in Iraq. Why are we here questions and more. What if many of them chose to desert? What if they were arrested and what if the commander in chief were called as a character witness? What would rumsfeld's policy be on desertion considering his bosses military record? This veteran with an honest to God Honorable Discharge hanging on the wall along with an armed forces expeditonary medal for service in Saudi Arabia is a little curious. I guess the conservative morons with microphones will set me straight when any of our kids desert and are brought to justice by bush's military.

1. Where could they go?
I've thought about this also, especially after hearing that soldiers are looking for a million dollar wound.

2. No place to go.
I guess (theoretically) they could just stage a sit-down strike and only defend themselves from guerillas. I'd even guess that the guerillas would leave them alone as soon a they circled the wagons and stayed away from the populace.
But I don't think it will happen. It would take an incredible amount of guts to do it.

4. On the news last night, they interviewed a young soldier
who said they were hoping to be injured so they could go home. Horrifying.

5. Injured
seems that or being killed for Bushie is the ONLY way a lot of them will ever see home again. Fucking sad ('scuse me) but it is -- considering they were sent into this by a bunch of greedy white draftdodgers to make money for MORE greedy white men. Simply sick

6. We Need To Have A Multinational Force
to assist in the rebuilding of Iraq. Desertion is ((((wrong))) and can land you in front of a firing squad. If you are opposed to war or any particular war don't join the military. And if there is a draft declare conscientious objector status and suffer the consequences.

Soldiers are fighting for their fellow soldiers as well as their country.

7. Desertion

Those who don't have a father who is in congress, is head of CIA, ambassador to UN, Vice-president or POTUS, in other words, those that can't get their military record scrubbed, will be court-martialed, given Bad Conduct (or worse) discharges, and will do time in military stockades.
Those whose father has the bio above can go on to be appointed president of the United States and Commander-in Chief.

8. I Believe
only 1 (one) member of Congress has a son or daughter on active military duty and that is Sen. Tim Johnson (D) of South Dakota.
