Abortion vs. War? Which is worse? (Warning: graphic!)
I was incensed this morning as I drove by a local hospital where a huge picture of an aborted fetus was posted on the parkway. I hated seeing that. But I immediately thought: there should be a picture of the dead and maimed from war right next to that picture.

So, to make a comparison I found pix of both. Which, I ask you, is worse?

1. The war
The fetus knew nothing of life.

Miscarriages happen all the time; an abortion is just an artifically induced one.

3. I agree somewhat. But to tell you the truth, neither side is right.

Neither is "better." Neither is good. And I am saddened when I look at this horror. It kind of equalizes/neutralizes "our" side and "their" side IMHO.

6. When a woman cannot conclude a pregnancy for whatever reason, abortion
is good. It's a safer option than allowing a pregnancy to go full term.

2. Do you think the aborted fetus one could be Photoshopped?
I tend to be skeptical about stuff like this. I think things like "How did they get hold of dead fetus parts to compare to a dime and take pictures of it?"

And the death of a viable adult human being seems more tragic to me than the death of a fetus. I am sure that makes me screwed up. But that is how I feel.

4. This picture is not what I saw this morning, the one I saw was worse
believe it or not. I don't know if they photoshopped the pic or not, but that image is just one of many.

8. I like neither, really,
but war is infinitely worse.

I am a rabid pro-choicer because, though I don't know if I could "kill" a symbiote--which is what a fetus essentially is for much of the time--I know that other women could. And they should have that choice.

It is interesting that men get so worked up over abortions when--oh, would you look at that? NO man will EVER become pregnant. EVER. How funny, then, that men should, once again, be showing their inherent misogynistic qualities, which forces of humanity *coughrabidfundiescough* only encourage.

11. Simone deBeauvoir said "If men got pregnant, abortion
would be a sacrament."

I'm ready to let men make laws about abortion as soon as they let us make laws about ejaculations.

9. a 10 month fetus is 4cm, hardly 2 inches
that's not very much

posing it besides the coin is an optical trick

besides this particular fetus has an arm as long as its whole body...

10. The posted picture is not that
of a 10 week fetus. Not consistent with development at that age.

12. Several problems here, yes photoshopped
Obviously photoshopped and for graphic reasons. Why would a 10 wk fetus be hanging onto a dime? Notice how the "blood" is places on some parts and not others, meaning to show some of reality and some left to guess work, sort of like negligees do? That is not real blood. Real blood doesn't look like that. I'd say it's a good photoshop to apall and disgust, put out be a anti-choice group.

Make the war picture as big as the dime one to compare graphics, actually make it larger, comparing the true sizes of a blown up adult face and a dime.

10 week: "The finger and toe notches on the hands and feet start to separate into webbed digits." http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=&imgrefurl=http://www.ourbebe.com/&h=534&w=750&sz=107&tbnid=BeuZM6FBCBEJ:&tbnh=99&tbnw=140&hl=en&start=19&prev=/images%3Fq%3D10%2Bweek%2Bfetus%2B%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DG

OK, now on to your question, which is worse, killing people in war or fetus by abortion. War.

16. If I could have made the war pic larger, I would have. they were both
the same size, or so I thought--until I uploaded them. They just came out that way. Got any ideas on how I can enlarge the pic?
