Hey- They just said it on MSNBC, so it must be true, right?

Boo, hooo, Billy. If this doesn't work, how will you ever take over the world?

7. Google News turns up this
http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/politics/12809222.htm

Exerpting a paragraph or three:

...in his second nomination to the Supreme Court, Bush showed a rare pragmatic side. The calculus seemed to be that Miers would prove conservative enough to keep his base quiescent, if not happy, and yet not so conservative, at least in any readily discernible way, to warrant a full-scale war with the Democrats.

This was Bush as Americans have rarely seen him, in effect saying "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."

For a number of prominent conservatives, "good" was not sufficient. They launched into biting criticism of the nomination even before they had much of a chance to study her record. "I'm disappointed, depressed and demoralized," wrote William Kristol, editor of the conservative Weekly Standard.

2. Yay!

I can never figure out why that guy is even the minor celebrity he is. I see him on some talking head show on Sundays, and I'd swear the script calls for "look smug, smirk at someone, then make condescending remark." If his name wasn't close to Billy Crystal's, I probably wouldn't even remember him period.

8. He always reminds me of one of the pilots in "Catch 22"
Can't remember the character's name or the actor but I think it was the "applecheeks" guy...

At least he finally got his teeth whitened. I thought they were about to rot and fall out.

10. Major league charter neocon: All the way back to 98, and Clinton's
letter to invade Iraq. He's in league with Bolton, Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney, the gang that couldn't shoot straight.

16. William Kristol is THE architect of this administrations War Policies.
William Kristol is the founder of PNAC and authored what is referred to as the so called "Bush Doctrine" - the rational and basis for invasion and occupation of Iraq.

please see: http://www.newamericancentury.org/

Which makes his appearances on PBS and other newscasts particularly odious because his role in this administrations foreign policy position is never stated - he's only introduced as the founder and senior editor of the "Weekly Standard", which is owned by Ruppert Murdoch's media company: The News Corporation, which owns FOX.

17. Thanks for the background, I knew he was Mr. PNAC, but I didn't
realize his backing came from Murdoch.

18. He Deserves To Be More Than Demoralized
Demonized would be closer to the mark, for all the harm he and his neo buddies have done to this country. The fact that he is allowed to do anything outside a prison cell, much less appear on television or publish anything should have him counting his blessings. I'll count mine when he and his are shamed and removed from power circles entirely.

12. S.O.B got us into Iraq.
He should get a bottle and pistol and go over the hill and stop the
screaming in in his neo con head.

I wonder if any of the 10,000 + American Vets who are amputees would stop him?

15. Sometimes I'd just like to smack him - and I am a pacifist. Does anyone
else ever get that urge when they see his smug mug on TV? Ralphie Reed generates the same urge in me.
