Bill Clinton Supreme Court Appointees:

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 13 years as a Federal Appellate Judge

Stephen Breyer: 14 years as a Federal Appellate Judge, including 4 years as Chief Judge of the First Circuit



George W. Bush Supreme Court Appointees:

John Roberts: 2 years as a Federal Appellate Judge

Harriet Miers: No judicial experience at any level


Bush seems to like them with as little paper trail as possible.

is exactly what I believe they were looking for. Now she can go through the Roberts script, saying nothing to every substantive question--and looking at some of the background stuff on her on the internet, it looks like she's already accomplished at that. The ball that the Ch*ney-R*vers dropped, though, was the crony ball.

I would really have preferred to have seen someone with some judicial experience--all the "great" Justices aside.

You just know things are kind of stinky when the nominee is not only from the "home" state, but also a long-time campaign supporter. Maybe that's it! She's too partisan!
