This just made my day....
was in town and decided to gas up before coming home, so I was there waiting my turn and the guy in front of me, while waiting for his tank to fill up was going around pulling and scraping W stickers off his car. There must have been 4 or 5 in the window, on the bumper, etc. I felt like applauding but I kept my cool and let him bask in his own humility.

1. I wish I had been with you: I carry my digital camera with me-
it is always in my pocketbook

That would have made a helluva picture

4. Very cool
I would have applauded though.

Anyone doing something like that in such a public place was clearly looking for attention.

24. Not just attention ...
... but validation. I would have applauded just to let the guy know that there are a lot of decent, intelligent people who agree with him that Bush sux.

9. Wow, so he made a point of doing that in public at the gas station
"while waiting for his tank to fill up"

That's really saying something isn't it. As if he wanted to advertise that he did support them, but not now, to a crowd. Wow. Thanks for sharing that.

10. He was probably mad about the Mier nomination
The right wing is in up in arms about the Mier nomination. Plus, I doubt if he was real trilled about gas prices. Seems like Bush is losing his base. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Edited on Mon Oct-03-05 04:25 PM by 0rganism
Jump out of the car, yell, "Why do you hate America, you communist terrorist liberal democrat? Supporting the troops means supporting the president!" Then climb back in, roll up the windows, lock the doors, and watch the fun.

15. The wierd thing to me is
Gas prices is what made this guy mad. If gas didn't go up he'd proudly be touting those stickers around town probably.

That's what made my repuke father turn on bush. He found out construction materials had escalated and when he asked why, was told that the materials were in demand in Iraq and as soon as we built a structure, the "insurgents" would blow it up.

These people only understand one thing: their own pocketbook.

Comprehending the collective good is way, way beyond them.

16. Maybe he just bought the car.
I once had to scrap Nixon bumper stickers off a car I bought. In the 80's! :eyes:

Still... it's one less car supporting the pResident driving around town!

17. That's the opposite of what I saw today...I was laughing so hard I almost
had to pull over. I passed a semi on the highway with block letters on the back saying

GET RID OF THE LIARS - VOTE REPUBLICAN

I swear to god that's what it said. I was in hysterics, and for a minute I thought it was a joke until I saw the driver's face in his side mirror glaring at me, with my peace sign stickers on every side of my car.

Was on the back of a Chevy Nova!

I wanted to pull up and yell, 'Hey FUCKTARD you're clearly too poor to be part of his base!"

What an idiot.
