Doesn't Miers cut against the GOP's "Marriage and Families" mania?
A 60 year-old career woman with no hubby and no kiddies?

Not to mention, she'll be the second never-married justice that the GOP has put on the court along with Justice Souter.

I thought they were all nutty for "family values."

What gives?

1. It's been bullshit all along.
They stand for corporations and kick backs. All the religion and family nonsense was just to sucker in the "commoners".

No one bit, I guess? This one is more subtle on the homophobic scale. Bravo. :eyes:

4. It is screwy. I think it comes down to control.
I think a lot of gay people reach the highest ranks of the republican conspiracy (and it is a conspiracy) because they can be controlled with blackmail and also because people who live thier life in denial and shame need affirmation thru success.

There are probably more closeted gay men in the Republican leadership then in Hollywood.
