Interesting poll number
A whopping 78% of Americans think Bush will be remembered as no better than an average president:

Newsweek Poll conducted by Princeton Survey Research Associates International. Sept. 29-30, 2005. N=1,004 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.

"As time passes, how do you think history will see George W. Bush as president? Do you think Bush will be seen as an average president, above average, or below average?"

Average: 35% Above Average: 19% Below Average: 43% Unsure: 3%

I used to call him the worsk of the modern era. But worst EVER seems to fit best. :yoiks:

He should be so lucky! What an example of damage control! More than half of that 78% will remember him as, (at very best, surely, decidedly) below average. In fact, verging on 40%, almost half.

Why did they not ask if they thought he might be the best one of the best Presidents ever? Or the best President ever? Or one of the worst President ever? Or the worst President ever? Average! I like that.
