Bush nominees: The Costanza theory

By all accounts, Harriet Miers is no star. She is only modestly qualified, except for being a Bush sycophant.

We've seen Bush's other nominees {"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job"). We know that Bush isn't, shall we say, smart. His carriage and language is that of a C student.

So I propose that Harriet Miers is nominee because of the Constanza theory. Remember that episode of Seinfeld where George, who was part of the foundation for his dead fiancee, had to select a student to receive a college scholarship?

Who did he select? An A student? No, he selected a "C" student- enough to pass but "not showing off either". Instead of selecting someone with an ambitious career goal, he selected someone who wanted to be an architect (no offense to architects).

Harriet Miers is just another Costanza choice. Barely qualified.
