On the Stephanie Miller Show someone just mentioned that SCOTUS nominee Miers was on the board of that ex-gay organization, the one that's supposed to lead gays to the straight light.

But it's NOT that Exodus ("Freedom from homosexuality through the healing power of Jesus Christ."), it's Exodus Ministries who "encourage ex-offenders empower them to become self-sustaining, productive, Christ-centered members of society." Whew.

Call me thick, but I didn't quite understand what the offenders in Exodus Ministries had done to offend. Is this for homosexuals (who they probably do find offensive) or for recovering criminals, or what?

Stephanie had me worked up about this all morning....glad it's not true, although I'm sure there will be plenty of other issues where she's out of the mainstream.

And Rowdyboy, how can you say the other Exodus ministry to prisoners that Miers was involved in has "nothing to do with gays?! Hello, prison? Have you never seen an episode of Oz? :-)
