Why is anyone surprised by Bill Bennett's statement
This administration, the Ratpublican juanta becomes more and more obvious with their racism day by day

For the record Bennett COMPLETELY own those bigoted remarks with his statement just preceeding the offensive remarks

"AND I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE"

but doens't anyone remember Chimppy's remarks concerning Iraqis - "those brown skinned peoples that can't govern themselves"

the omission of the parishes in the declaration of emergency for NO.

the revoking of affirmative action laws

You have to be commatose not to see how Bush has led the country back 50 years

1. The Bennett Diversion Worked
If you listened to the hate radio talk shows over the weekend, Bill Bennett is being nominated for sainthood. Goofy as it seems. Either he is the victim of the "librul media" who took his words "out of context" (coughbullshitcough) or he wasn't being racist, he just was making a point about abortion. :puke:

Racism is only second to class warfare as the GOOP's rallying force. They need the hate, the divisions, the intollerance to keep their corrupt and immoral "ideology" going. It keeps the "little people" chattering and diverted while the real plundering goes on under wraps.

Shameful how much the right wing in this country has gone in living in a world of hate and anger. This was just a demonstration of how its used to strengthen its echo chamber. Ironically, I've heard Rushbo all but say the same thing, and it didn't make much of a splash. It's all about the timing...and this one was used as much to rally a demoralized "Repugnican base" as anything else.

2.  "those brown skinned peoples that can't govern themselves"
That's the sort of contemptuous attitude expected of a spoiled brat of inherited wealth. It would also mesh perfectly with the jingoist nativism of his "core constituency". But I don't recall Chimpy ever saying anything like that. Can you give a source?

3. It is more than race discrimination ..
Bennett later claimed that abortion rates relate to lower crime rates. Is this true? Who knows. I doubt it. The two seem very unrelated.

He's slandering reproductive freedoms, diversity and lowered crime rates in one fell swoop. Are crime rates down? He offers no "FACTS". Are abortion rates up? He offers no "FACTS". Do neo-cons use all these features to excite their non-thinking, neo-facist party members? Without a doubt.

4. I wonder if he consciously had a purpose?
Just a sick person spewing his hatred. In the minds of him and his ilk, the blacks are all on welfare and are creating more and more babies to sell drugs and commit other crimes. It was a bald faced racist comment and of course the cultists love it- and think it is time for another tax cut.
