IMO, Bennett's recalcitrant refusal to apoligize sets up MUCH BETTER long run consequences for his gaffes than just being able to force him to say he's sorry. Taking away some of his money and influence would cripple his effectiveness long time, and may have substantial deterrent effect for many other racist politicians, making them keep their foul mouths SHUT.

Most Republican big shots are on corporate boards, or are connected to extreme-right projects that are funded by governments or by foundations. Bennett also appears to have been placed on boards of some nonpartisan groups to provide political "balance".

Black parents and other anti-racists now have a mission: ELIMINATE Bennett's involvement in all these sources of his income and influence. As a former Secretary of Education, Bennett presumably is getting paid by many public, religious, private, and charter schools for his "advice". (Can you believe this?!)

For revealing that GENOCIDE is on his sick mind, Bennett is highly likely to become radioactive, with a half life of decades. People tend to remember for a long time those who have publicly mused about social benefits from their ANNIHILATION.

The Philadelphia public schools have started a snowball rolling that has the potential to crush Bennett. A corporation with a $3 million school system contract has Bennett on its board -- but not for long. 5. Given the methodical efforts of the Rove/Norquist (Goebbels) approach...

to policy and propaganda, I'm not at all sure Bennett's remark was a slip of the tongue. Instead I fear it is another example of how the velvet slipper of "compassionate conservatism" is increasingly being shed to reveal the fascist jackboot beneath -- deliberate policy disguised as happenstance: first the alleged "blunders" that have resulted in the imposition of Islamic theocracy on Iraq, then the "accident" of the genocidal aftermath of Katrina, next Barbara Bush's let-them-eat-cake sneer about how Katrina's victims are "better off" for all their suffering, now the ever more obvious truth that part of the Katrina aftermath is a massive ethnic "cleansing" of New Orleans, and finally this -- Bennett's advocacy of forcible black abortion as a crime-control measure: genocide again.

One such episode -- even two -- might be coincidence. But (to borrow an old axiom from military intelligence) "three times or more is enemy action."

The timing is suspect too, for as repugnant as we find such events, the ugly fact is that for some groups they are just the opposite: summons to action, incentives for unity, revelations of ideological "truth" -- the essence of "good politics." For in times of growing controversy and shrinking popularity, to whom do politicians turn but their hardest core supporters: in the Bush Administration's case, fully 28 percent of the electorate -- the Ku Klux-minded JesuNazi storm troopers who demand theocracy and regard Black America as an "abomination" -- and after that all the Klandestine white supremacists who dare not express their murderous hatreds aloud but silently cheer the politicians who do it for them.

Remember in this context that according to the polls, most of black America believes the aftermath of Katrina was deliberately genocidal -- but fully 80 percent of white America stubbornly refuses to acknowledge even the possibility. The only question is how many of the 80 percent are motivated by gullibility or ignorance -- and how many by deliberately concealed hatred. (My guess is the breakdown would be about 50/50.)

Thus I fear Bennett's alleged "slip" was just the opposite: a fascist call to arms -- more deliberate disclosure of the racism at this administration's heart, more calculated revelation of the hobnailed jackboot that has always symbolized Bush's true ideology and intention.

8. I learned yesterday that Bill Bennett is visiting the University

of Cincinnati this Tuesday evening to speak at the Student Union...this has been planned for quite a while...it all started with Michael Moore's unexpected visit to UC last October before the elections.

The little pug students got upset and demanded that one of 'theirs' gets to come and talk. So I guess this is still set for this Tuesday.

You may remember that Cincinnati has terrible race relations...riots a few years ago due to the police shooting and killing a young black man who was unarmed. This is not an enlightened city. The local media is constantly selling fear, fear and more fear. Pathetic.

I am going to call the University's president tomorrow and see if she will tell Bennett to 'Go Away.' I believe there are protests planned...but with the 'progressive' community in this area in its infancy (as well as being so full of fear), I haven't received any details. I would love to tell billy boy where to go!

9. Mention the 8 million dollars lost gambling by this "paragon of virtue"

When writing, ask if the entity endorses gambling away large sums of money. Ask if the entity endorses the idea that blacks are genetically prone to criminality.

Get them to put themselves on the line, yea or nay. No fence straddling allowed when dealing with people who set themselves out as pillars of the community.
