I'm seeing posts that unequivocally proclaim that one candidate or another is unelectable and we should not support him/her.

I've seen posts essentially trashing Cindy Sheehan and the Gold Star families, because they are no longer "useful".

And, I've seen posts that explain how scary and unassailable the repubs are.

All these posts seem to be much more frequent now that the repubs have revealed themselves to the country, and the world, as the corrupt, greedy, heartless, racist, misogynistic,warmongering, power grubbing folks that we knew they were all along.

So, keep an eye out all. We must hear diverse points of view, within our ranks, however, when we're dealing with posters regurgitating RW talking points, we must be aware and act accordingly.

it's because people are tired of the way America has been pulled along, and long for the days when her husband was in the WH, and there was truly peace, and prosperity for the first time in such a long, long time...

Electing Hilary would effectively put Bill back into the WH, since he can't run for Prez a third time, and that's what I believe people who want Hilary to run for Prez, really want.

I haven't changed my mind since the SCOTUS handed * the pResidency in December of 2000--I believe Al Gore should've run for the 2004 Presidential Elections and that Terry McAuliffe was WRONG when he stated that if Al Gore had chosen to run for office, he would have had to run without DNC support thereby effectively sawing Gore's running legs off at the knees.

Terry McAuliffe claimed, that Al Gore would be too controversial a candidate; forgetting that ANY Democratic candidate is for Republicans "too controversial"!

Then again, no one counted on that the Repukes would once again steal the election for the second time in the row!

8. Stay positive, not paranoid.

Its important to remember the divide and conquer routine works very well with paranoia. If somebody can come in here and point to some democrat and say "look, he's a freeper spy because he believes this and that" and you believe him, the division has occured. Many free thinking democrats hold conservative views on some things. Whats important is that we have a framework of mutual respect for our viewpoints, and stay positive. Its more interesting to me to hear why Clark rules, for instance, then why Hillary sucks.

We need to stay strong and positive -- but we must also be aware of the enemy within. The RW "Young Turks" are dedicated, as dedicated as any al Qaeda cel. They hate us and want to make America a one-party state. This is particularly true of Dominionists and Christian Reconstructionists.

21. I had a similar conversation tonight with another DU'er off board

They don't have to have low post counts to be freepers.
One went today that was over 1000 posts and had been here almost a year.
However, I think as things start to heat up, the ones that have been very careful all along are going to start overplaying their hands from sheer frustration.
I know from reading other sites that are nameless here--that many of these people brag about being here with high post counts, being donors, being close to the mods, and some brag that they are close to being mods themselves, etc.
Whether that is true or not, I have no way of knowing.
But the regurgitated RW talking points are your first clue...final clue is when you call them on it and they tell you to fuck off, blow me, etc.
Typical freeper response...when you can't attack the message, attack the messenger.
Not hard to spot.
