Owen has withdrawn name for SCOTUS
Owen is out

According to a very reliable source close to the White House vetting process for the next nominee, Priscilla Owen has withdrawn her name from the process.

With Owen out, conservatives have lost one of the better women on the short list.

1. She would have never gotten past the filibuster
I know the dems seemed sorta of weak on Roberts but I also know that they had one chance on the filibuster so stick with the moderate seat that needs filled (O'Conners).

4. I guess she's happy with the job * already gave her
on the appeals court, or wherever, and doesn't want to go through it all again.

8. In addition to reprehensible beliefs she has that long hangdog face.
I get depressed just looking at her. She wouldn't present that "glam" demeanor the Pubes are looking for.

This is a good thing.
