I can't believe I'm saying this but Scarborough did a smack down
I read this on CrooksAndLiars.com and thought it was a very good response. All these conservatives are saying Katrina was the wrath of God (but yet the French Quarter is fine, I loved the Daily's shows take on this) for sin and sex and whatnot but Scarborough came back and got some guy named Erwin. Here's what Scarbrough said:

Close: "All I will say is this. When you look at Matthew 25, and the disciples ask Jesus, how do we get to heaven? That‘s what they were interested in. We want to sit on the right hand of the father. How do we do it? Jesus said, you take care of the poor. You give the thirsty water. When they come to your door and they need food, you give it to them. When they need clothes, give them the clothes off your back and visit them in jail. Basically, help the dispossessed. " That‘s why I just find it hard to square up my vision of God and what Jesus Christ said in the New Testament with what the senator is saying tonight."

1. This is the fourth time I have to check hell this week. It might
actually freeze over if this keeps up.

2. I've been quoting this for months and months
Matthew 25. I think I need to find a bumper sticker because that's my argument when I encounter so-called people of faith who are bigots and believe what's mine is mine and if you have nothing, too bad.

4. I hate to say this, but...
I found myself almost praising Scarborough during his broadcasts right after Katrina...he was nailing the federal response and * very hard and showing what people where having to deal with due to the lack of FEMA.
