4. Am I the only one who doesn't believe he blew up? Watch the tape again.
He snuck outta there, I believe, in anticipation of where the discussion was headed. Now, I could be outta my mind but he didn't look THAT angry.

13. I actually tried to find some articles on google and I did find
one, dated about September 15th. It wasn't really what I wanted so I'm sorry I didn't bookmark, but other than that he seems to have faded.

19. Novak Does Aspen
I had recalled seeing this ...

he was there with a bunch of wealthy folks who apparently were <shock and awe> critical of Bu$hitler, and tattletale Novak blabbed about it in his syndicated column ... sounds very Plamegate-ish ... very Novak ...

some (Novak) dare called it 'bashing' ...

Karl 'to the rescue' Rove reportedly took time off from the Katrina relief effort to show up as a counter-weight to the 'bashing'.

Gee, wonder if Novak made a call?? Hmmmm.

the Novak piece
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/09/22/bashing.bush/

from a website, Fanatical Apathy, found just googling:

"Novak is shocked that serious scientists don’t seem to approve of President Bush’s stance on stem-cell research, that staunch conservatives think that race and class might have had something to do with the Katrina response, that some folks feel that Karl Rove shouldn’t be taking breaks from the current flotilla of crises to kick back at an Aspen conference."

Novak: "…Nor do I feel inhibited in quoting myself. Even if I am violating the spirit of secrecy rules, revealing criticism of Bush by this elite group, and the paucity of defense for him, is valuable…"

Mr. Felber made this observation: "one of the most delicious ironies of this piece is the unintentional 'giving away secrets is really okay!' angle."

http://www.felbers.net/fa/2005/09/23/novak-to-the-rescue/

seems the Spin Control Room is coming unhinged; and, becoming more difficult to tape clothing on the Paper Doll Emperor w/no clothes ... no Oh'Really or Leslie Blitzer to Rove the spin

20. Regarding Novak ...
In the posthumously published diary of H. R. "Bob" Haldeman (1994), Haldeman at one point remarks during Watergate that they can get a certain storyline out by "getting Evans & Novak to write a column about it" and then the press will ask us.

It's interesting that that old ugly grey whore managed to stick around for so long. He should have been disgraced and pastured with the rest of the Republican Watergate crooks.
