Saddam's Trial...
Is Iraq now stabilized enough to have a trial for Saddam Hussein? If they can find a way to get the death penalty for Saddam, Bush's mission will be accomplished. It was always a competition between himself and Saddam. He never really gave a crap about freedom for the Iraqi people. He didn't give a crap about whether there were WMDs. It was a personal thing for Dubya. He wanted to beat Saddam. He wanted to stick firecrackers in his ass and blow him up - just like he did the little froggies when he was a youngster. It didn't matter to him how many Americans or how many Iraqis had to die to beat Saddam. Bush will be high-fivin' his closest advisors when Saddam is dead - both of them.

1. Somehow , over the years of knowing Bush II, I can't
believe he even cares about Bush I. Better to look elsewhere as to figure out whom really wanted Saddam gone.

4. saddam's trial is supposed to be televised
i doubt bush looks forward to that. memory lane is really ugly for this administration. im still pissed george refused a televised debate with saddam b4 the invasion. he responded "i do not debate with terrorists"

5. They don't want a public trial for Saddam.
Because he'll spend weeks spilling his guts about his relationships with Reagan, Rumsfeld and the CIA.

7. Too much coverage. It would be exposed.
But spun as desperation, of course.
