Does anybody else think it is beyond coincidence that the same day Roberts
is sworn in as Chief Supreme Justice....

Judith Miller has gotten out of jail?

2. A lot of planets have aligned lately.........
and it's hard to tell what the outcome of this is going to be. Hey, what about one of our resident DU Astrologers? I'm heading to the forum, maybe someone over there has this figured out. It's worth a shot because I'm sure as hell baffled!

when Jupiter aligns with Mars...

I wish.

18. Do you really believe in astrology?
If so, what sign are you?

I'm a true Gemini -- and I don't believe any of it, but it's sure fun, especially when we did it on all-night radio.

11. Uuh...
I'm intimately familiar with Judith Miller/Karl Rove/affair D'Plame, etc...Thank you. But what exactly is the connection as you see it?

12. I'm assuming the OP means if Rove is indicted
There is now a Chief Justice appointed by Bush who may preside over the case. (Although I don't know how this works exactly; I didn't think this kind of case would go before the Supreme Court.)

I could be missing the point entirely, though. :)

13. You're right
there's almost no chance this would end up before the Supreme Court. I don't know of any burning constitutional issue presented here.

And, as I asked above, what would Roberts do that Rehnquist wouldn't?

16. If someone from this administration is charged with something...
we don't know for sure what that would be, it could end up in front of the Supreme Court.

As for Roberts vs Rehnquist, we really don't know much about Roberts yet, do we?
Except that Bsh likes him.

19. I mean honestly
I had heard stuff about the weirdness of some of the DU discussion threads, but I figured I'd give it a shot. But, really I can't make heads or tails of this nonsense. You have said absolutely nothing. Please, someone tell me this is not what most of this site is like.

22. Oooh...you said Freeperville
Look, I'm not trying to read into anything...You asked the question, you obviously had some kind of idea about what you assumed to be an answer...I was just trying to understand what you thought that answer might be. I'm just confused. So if Judy Miller gets out of jail two days ago and Roberts hadn't been confirmed yet, is there not a coincidence?

24. The question is - If the indictments about the Plame leak, turn out
to be guilty charges against a high ranking official of this administration, this case could, I'm saying could not will, end up infront of the Supreme Court. Roberts was hand picked by this administration. We don't really know much about Roberts, do we?
Hence the tin foil hat in my op:tinfoilhat:

Shaggy - how can a person from Chicago drive me so crazy? I mean if you are from Chicago, you can't really be all that bad.

I'd move back there, but after living in the desert all of these years, I don't know if I could handle those winters again.

15. Miller's testimony would support Scooter Libby's indictment,
not Rove's. Do we know of anyone who definitely identified Rove as the source? Also, general question, was Libby ever called before the Grand Jury? Or was he always the target?

23. Just asserting it is not a coincidence...
does not make it so. Please, honestly, I'd love to understand what you see as the connection. Look, I'm not a Freeper, I'm far too the left of the political mainstream in this country...I'm a historian who believes that this will go down as the worst administration in the history of the United States, but instead of people just saying it's not a coincidence, I'd really like to understand what you mean.

Shit happens. I think Bush and his minions would have rather had this occur during the middle of Katrina.
