They're right. It IS political and it IS partisan.
Delay and his loyal republicans are scurrying around like the little rats they are, screaming about how this is political and partisan.

Well, DUH.

It was partisan protection that has enabled Delay to be a corrupt, unethical criminal for years. It was political whitewashing that enabled Delay to break and twist the laws of the land and the laws of decency. His party looked the other way or defended him as scandal after scandal arose.

So hell yes it's partisan and political. Without the partisan hacks and pundits, he would have been stopped a long time ago.

2. Well said - they think they can reframe this so that a trial will be
considered a partisan thing. Will not work.

6. They already stumble and redirect when you mention that the
prosecutor has gone against far more Democrats than Republicans in his career.

Delay is going down because he broke the law and didn't cover his paper trail sufficiently - that's the bottom line. Eat it freeps!

4. The squeal "political" as if this is the first time ever
Yeah, DeLay's illegal and forced redistricting of Texas to deny Democrats fair representation wasn't at all political.

The fact that DeLay's screaming so loud about this tells me that he's scared right down to his satin skivvies. And he should be.

5. I have a special vitriol for Hot Tub Tom DeLay
Even worse than I had for Newt Gingrich, who I could at least respect for his intellectual abilities.

I'll always have a burning hatred for DeLay for his rounding up votes for the Clinton impeachment. I am still boiling with rage over all that Monica business from 6 years ago.

7. DeLay was the first one in this group of thugs that I actually
hated. I mean, hated with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. They all have that distinction now, but like you I have a special brand of vitriol for DeLay.

8. The whole impeachment farce
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 10:19 PM by nvliberal
was the result of DeLay having a hissy fit over his party having lost seats in the 1998 midterms.

It was payback.
