2. The difference is that the DA is a "democrat" and they want to use that to
say the indictment was biased.


There may be another indictment coming from the Abramoff thing.

3. The distinction is that a grand jury, not the DA, hands down indictments
12 to 24 citizens empanelled on a grand jury take testimony, view evidence and have to vote on the charge. The DA doesn't decide.

It's a protection that American citizens get against politically motivated DAs.

So Delay's attempts to smear the DA should be countered by the fact the GJ indicted him.

The fact that it was a grand jury actually is reason for greater concern for inmate Delay.
