And they had no money to act on Katrina? Im now also hearing he blamed local and state officials, but media has been pushing that while ignoring his underfunding statement. ? So..Did I hear the ex FEMA director say that FEMA was running on empty ?

1. He's been saying a lot of things.
Like this ex FEMA director business. His resignation is not effective until two weeks from now...

2. FEMA director blames Homeland Security for lack of FEMA funding.
Here's a link to a story that mentions Brown saying that Homeland Security took 77 million away from FEMA the last three years:

It seems to me that the fact that FEMA was underfunded should be a big story. The media isn't giving it much play, instead focusing on the pissing match between Brown and Nagin and Blanco.

5. Yes, he was angry because they had lots of everything necessary
to go in but he couldn't go in because they really didn't have enough of anything due to the understaffing and misunderstanding of the those who should have known and understood, and therefore all of the great wealth of what they had under his considerable knowledge would have been there except for the serious ineptitude of those who were working outside of the constraints of those working within the guidelines of what had been sanctioned within the federal government. And just what don't you understand about this????

Geeesh.

6. uuh. I dont understand anything...
But the fact that Apes goal was to "starve the beast" , and the beast is anything that helps the regular Joes.

So in my opinion, Nutbush cut their funding and thats why people were in the Convention center without water for seven days.

Am I missing something?

8. Sorry, I was just trying to point out that he was engaging in
a whole bunch of double talk bullshit. Covering his own ass, and the guy who hired him.

I just didn't put a SARCASM sign on my post. Sorry.
