1. I think the others didn't get enough signatures
There have been many recall attempts. I believe this is the first one to make it on the ballot.

7. Yeah ...
I heard this morning that there have been 31 recall attmepts, but this is the first time that it made the ballot.

I'm sure every Govornor elected has a group of nuts that think they can use this law to dodge winning a real election.

If Arnold wins he could be the first one who has more recall votes (%) than votes (%) that got him elected.

Cheers
Drifter

3. This is the first SUCCESFUL one
aka the first one to go to the polls.

The rest and there have been more than just the three during the reagan years, have never reached this stage.

Oh and by the way the original intent of the law will fit arnie to a T.

4. I don't think so
I wasn't around back when Reagan was governor, but I don't think the recall has ever been used against a governor before, including Reagan.

6. Every governor since Pat Brown
...has had a recall petition filed against him. Typically, they never get more than a few thousand signatures. This is the first one that's gone to the voters.
