If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound?
If there is a protest that the media ignores, did it happen?

3. Hell yeah it did
There were too many people there. The media can't ignore something so strong. We won't go away, they have to acknowledge us eventually.

5. We need photos from people who were there
and we need to get them to newpapers. They seem to be the only source of real news left in the country.

6. I'd like to say you are right, but alas, you're not
The only reason the swift boat liars made hay is because the media allowed it to become a story by covering it for weeks on end. No coverage means no one gets noticed. The protests against Vietnam mattered because the media brought into our homes, along with the carnage, on a nightly basis. it turned many people against the war, who were either on the fence or not paying attention or for the war, when they got to see others tell the truth.

7. All those people showed up...
all those people cared enough. This won't be the last protest or march. After a few more of these, something has to give. If it doesn't, then we're absolutely screwed.

So excuse me as I celebrate what is surely the first step in a long journey.

8. Of course it does, because you can't hide from the forest
forever. And the falling trees leave their mark.
"Run, run fast as you can, but you can't run forever little w man".
because
"The evil that men do lives after them...."

"out, out damn spot"...

"bubble, bubble toil and trouble...

..a walking shadow; a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more:

.. a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing."

"By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes."

"That he's mad, 'tis true, 'tis true 'tis pity,
And pity 'tis 'tis true."

"When sorrow comes, they come not single spies, but in battalions"

and it has begun in earnest.
