Where are your Democrats? Where are your congress people? At least Ralph had the decency to show up. For God sake what did you have 2 people from congress at this demonstration? Ralph Rules I don't want to hear again how he stole the election, at least he had the decency to show up!

9. Jesse Jackson
Jesse is the only constant we see. He is not in a position of power with the government sadly.

However, he was there and he is there now still.

I am proud to be a long time supporter of Rev. Jackson and he is a Democrat. :D

10. I believe main DEMS would not want to be associated with ANSWER.
Edited on Sat Sep-24-05 01:07 PM by cyberpj
To protest the war and Bush is one thing but to step onstage with those who appear to have other motives would not be smart.

11. "Not a dime's worth of difference"
Nader needs to retract that statement. I appreciate what the guy stands for, but he was dead wrong when he said that and everyone knows it.

26. Not a liar I don't think
but his little red choo choo has long since gone round the bend. Delusional in some ways. When a phone conference and a pizza becomes a "convention" for the purposes of the Florida ballot (I think that was the story) and the taking of smear vet money is rationalized by saying "gee, they must support me," you're not being honest with yourself.

12. I'm confused ... and surprised to see him there ...
I have been a HUGE Nader-fan and was involved in getting him on the ballot in 96 and 2000 ... but my opinion of him has muddled since then because his motives have been questionable ...

I don't recall him having an opinion on the war in 2002/03, did I just totally miss it ?

23. Agree, he has done much good for years, but,
he takes money from the repubs., and did say not a dimes worth of diff., between the parties. Kinda like, a day late and a dollar short.

13. Decency? He's a fading narcissist. He showed up because someone
will still listen to him, in spite of his inaccurate lies.

As for Democrats - 149 DEMOCRATS voted against this war and 50 plus million AGAINST THIS PRESIDENT.

15. We turned it off. It was not an anti-war rally, it was all ANSWER
It was embarrassing to watch, and we turned it off. It is that way every year, you would think our anti-war groups would learn.

Those who have been so critical of our Democrats for not appearing should wake up to the fact of all the agendas of ANSWER.

20. That rally was a train wreck. Sorry, but it was not anti-war.
They gave Cindy 5 minutes for God's sake and hustled her off the stage when she did not talk fast enough.

22. They are not willing to associate with ANSWER. Where was Ralph in
2000 and 2004? Running for President, taking money from Republicans and helping to advance the Bush agenda.

Spare me the Nader worship.

If your against facism why vote for a guy who takes campaign money from facists? Nader took donations and help from Republicans like the Swift Boat crew.

I don't give a crap about nader now. If he hadn't ran, I'm sure we wouldn't even have to have an antiwar rally right now.
