Let's start a letter writing campaign to bring back Phil Donahue
I propose that we start writing MSNBC and ask that they bring back Phil Donahue. Tell them that you saw him on Bill O'Reilley's show and feel that the time for him to come back is now and that his voice should be heard on his own show. Here is the email for MSNBC TV:

3. That's a great idea!!
Phil was awesome on O'Lielly's show. I have always loved his straight ahead and in your face yet calm style. It is a big contrast to Bill's in your face, angry and misinformed style.

7. It'll never happen. We bombarded them with emails when they fired him
and were told he wasn't pushing the "war" agenda and at a time of "war", he just wasn't "right" for their network. The MSM will never put him back on the air. We need our own LIBERAL CABLE NEWS NETWORK. Ted Turner? Warren Buffet? Where are you?!

9. Good idea,
but I don't think it'll do any good. MSNBC has Countdown as their "liberal" offering. I doubt they'll allow any other progressive voices. HBO would be an easier sell.

10. this is true.
I don't think MSNBC will bring him back. We have to get him on the air, NOW!

12. Won't Happen - They'd Look Foolish
after the big hoopla of letting him go over him being "anti-war".

When broadcasters make a decision, that's it!

A better idea would be if CNN, CBS or ABC to hire him. But i doubt they would touch him either. It's one thing to have him on for 4 minute segment, vs 30 minutes or God forbid one whole hour.

Wingnuts would call him Anti-American, just like they did the first time.

13. What they care about is the bottom line
If people would watch him, they would put him on. It certainly can't hurt to write a letter. At least they would know that there is an audience that cares about hearing a liberal voice.
