Blackwater, et. al.
If you have the time and the means it would be worth your while to tune in to Democracy Now this evening. Amy Goodman had on Jeremy (I think its Jeremy) Scahill and Naomi Klein talking about their articles in the Nation magazine. What's happening in New Orleans is awful. Business leaders meeting with politicians (Ray Nagin???) about reconstruction and they seem pretty intent on insuring that the black population and the poor never again live in New Orleans under any circumstances. They are meeting each morning in the government annex and planning reconstruction without even consulting with people like the teacher's and their unions. How in hell is this going to be allowed? Who can we get this information to that will actually do something about it?

1. Blackwater was the employer of those contractors who were killed
and burned in Fallujah. Some of their family members were convinced that they were set up by their own employer, since the US actually NEEDED such a heinous attack as an excuse to go into Fallujah.

2. Blackwater on home soil is TERRIFYING
I saw that Democracy Now segment a few days ago and it made me feel like I couldn't breathe.
It also made me reconsider my position on gun control.
